If you want something more distinctive for a local rum, try Don Papa but it’s much more expensive than Tanduay.

Never a fan of rum or brandy but I’d drink it if there’s no other choice. I prefer spirits like vodka or gin or mezcal, even over whisky (Scotch, single malt, bourbon, Tennessee-style). I can drink beer any time. Hehehehe

    That is actually true.

My old colleagues from London actually liked tanduay so much nung uminom kami bago sila umuwi, tanduay hinanap sa Buddha bar. 🤣

My jap colleagues also likes tanduay. Sabi bagay daw sa highball.

Also, a friend of mine has a tattoo parlor. Tanduay inooffer niya sa mga foreigners na pampatapang before they get their tattoos done.

One foreigner even said "doesn't get any better than this for a dollar" he was refering to lapad 375ml.

Lastly, super bagay sa cuba libre. It's like they were meant for each other. Perfect drink sa beach on a hot summer day.

Cuba Libre is Rum with Cola and Lime Juice, better tasting than just rum with cola.

However, I like GSM better. There is a great cocktail I tasted before at Black Sheep restaurant that highlights its taste. They called it Kuwatro Kantos which was GSM mixed with pure Calamansi juice with sugar and salt plus lots of ice. It really tastes good, much like the Brazilian caipirinha. Below is my version:

Mas ok yung Caipirinha kung "basi" and lime ang mix instead of GSM and calamansi, plus sugar.

Half portion pure Calamansi juice, half portion GSM. Add half teaspoon of sugar plus a pinch of salt. Mix then add a tiny amount of cracked black pepper and lots of ice. Drink moderately. Hehehehe

Caipirinha is in a way different as it uses crushed lime wedges (or pure lime juice) and raw sugar plus cachaca which is the Brazilian version of strong white rum. Lime juice and Calamansi juice tastes different.

Yeah bro. Embassy needs to have at least 75 people tapos ang mahal if ever. Almost 2k usd. 3x the usual fare.

And mas safe na hindi muna lumipad kasi who knows if one of the passengers asymptomatic pala.
