If you REALLY want to be "considerate" to our less fortunate neighbors (squatters and street children), then a car costing more than 1.5m is already excessive.
...even a Lacoste shirt is already excessive.

hindi ko to ma-gets sir. ano ba ang ibig sabihin ng "kaunting pakikisama"? depriving yourself of things that make you happy because of what other people might think? hindi ko po kayo inaaway, nagpapa-clarify lang ;)

now, now that's a bit harsh. mukhang may differences of opinion lang tayo and maybe some things were said that shouldn't have been. but i agree that he is not making himself look good with his posts

I don't mind people driving these cars, but what bugs me is the fact that some of them flaunt their prized possession, especially if they only used taxpayer's money to buy it. In fairness to the owner of this car, he may have honestly paid for it, but yes, with such a car comes really great responsibility. He can't expect a mere truck driver to pay for the repair. It's a given that if you drive an expensive Ferrari, you have the money to maintain it, otherwise it's nuts to own one.

    M54Powered,

No harm intended bro, teka lets see if I can explain this...

IN MY OPINION (Sa akin lang ha)

Mahirap na kasi mag flaunt ng mga expensive possessions especially in these times na marami ang naghihirap. I'm just saying that simplicity could've gotten the owner a much much much much cheaper car and the rest he could've spent to help others.

But thats just from my point of view (kanya kanyang values lang naman yun), and maybe from other's na hindi pa nakakahawak ng malaking halaga na pera (12Million ba kamo? hehe, sa 1Million masaya na ako). Who knows, baka naman talagang mayaman yung tao or yung parents nung tao, and na nakakapagbigay pa pala sila ng extra extra cash for charity.

    Peace!

hehe..Djerms, sige magkape ka muna. sayang malayo ako, magpapalibre sana ako ng Starbucks

gets ko na yung point mo...it's an admirable sentiment kung ikaw talaga yung nagkukusang-loob. pero wag sana nating pinipintasan o dinidiktahan yung mga medyo maluho (i know that you are not saying this) because we all have our luho, simple or otherwise.

    peace dude

    yup.

    OFF TOPIC

Hi, I did not say all congressmen, mayors, senators etc are KURAKOT. siguro mga 90% lang naman ang KURAKOT.

I am not bragging, but among my childhood and school friends, who are now aged between 32-35 yrs old. 4 are now Congressmen, 5 are councilors, one is a Mayor. They are all very popular political figures. All of them are Corrupt. But they are all still close friends of mine.

Being a close friend of a big time politician (mayor, congressman etc.) really helps in this country. Sa mga construction projects for example, wala nang bidding sa City Hall, sa akin automatically since kaibigan ko si Mayor plus my 20% pa si Mayor sa akin sa overpriced project. Remember, we are talking MILLIONS. Imagine how regular person aged 32-35 can afford to buy a new Mercedes. Multi million Condos etc.. Now you know.

I hope we Filipinos are not to naive.

Ikaw mismo, pag binigyan ka ng ganyang posisyon or Pork Barrel, I am sure, everyone will be tempted.

yikes...on the one hand you are in a better position than most people to do something about this corruption that, from everything i'm reading on this site and elsewhere, is quickly and surely sinking the country. in your own way you can try to influence your good friends to not bleed the country dry.

on the other hand - and i hope you don't get too offended kung derechohin kita - many people will say that you're part of the problem, since you directly benefit from corruption. cronyism kumbaga.

i'm not here to judge you. but maybe you can help be part of the solution.

I know. But this is how the system works in this country. Even in our Justice system, puro Lagay lahat pati our own JUDGES. I am threading on dangerous grounds here and by insinuating these politicians. Remember the news a few years ago?? guys aged 32-35 yrs. from prominent families living in VV??. But they are a carnap syndicate who got busted when they held up a bmw z3. They were never convicted. Why?? because they know a lot of politicians and paid $$ to the judges.

I can even name a few guys on some Car Clubs here in the Philippines that have businesses related to drugs, cocaine, xtacy etc.. Just see how they can afford to buy those ultra expensive cars, Multi million home theater set-up, condos etc.. Di mo iisipin talaga since most of them are really nice people till you find how they got their money.

I can name a lot of stories that I know first hand.

This country is really filled with corrupt politicians, businessmen. Lahat yan magnanakaw!!

BTW, Since I got married and had kids, I stayed away transacting from those people. I believe in Karma.

maybe his ferrari is sitting by his museum for the longest time and needed that morning run...
maybe he has some errands and tough luck all the other cars are already in transit and the ferrari is the only one left.
maybe he's going to the ferrari service center later so might as well bring it to work or school

whatever the reason is not just to brand the guy as showoff by that pictures alone.

VERY WELL SAID. Congratulations on a very courageous reply.

Just look around Valle Verde. You will see tons of super luxury cars bearing an "8" plate number. There was an article by Noel Trinidad about this issue. His Government Official neighbors have more than 5 cars on the average. Range Rovers, S-Class, Lexus, etc.... Remember their PORK BARREL???

I was thinking, May tao bang "normal" na makaka-afford ng Ferrari?

yes nakita ko din to kanina paliko ako going to macapagal. Muka ngang ferrari at blue corolla.
