All I'm saying that he has the right to buy anything he wants thru honest means. He may not be a philanthrophist but it also does not make him evil and deserving of more misfortune. for all we know he donated more money to charity. the fact is, WE DON't KNOW ****. Mr. Wilkes (the German guy) is like Mother Theresa.... realistically, they are one in a million. I don't think any of us are capable of such degree of charity....and you don't need to be a millionaire to give to charity. We can sell our pricey cellphones and feed street kids right now--but are we doing it? we can sell the CRV and buy a vitara and give the rest to charity too.

can i argue that it is the fault of the truck because he was slightly ahead and had the last chance to avert the accident by applying the brakes. unfortunately, he was not able to apply the brakes, hence his liability. any other ideas on this?

Alam mo naman mga truck drivers dito, wala talagang pakialam magpatakbo. Wala ring sinasanto, sila pa galit pag nasagi ka nila. Either he wasn't able to apply the brakes in time, or his brakes were not adequate to begin with, due to poor maintenance.

Naalala ko tuloy yung nangyari sa Crosswind ni baurtwell. Bangga sa likod by a truck. Whatever happened to the truck ban?

yea, it IS unfair to judge a person right away coz he owns something extravagant. i once owned a porsche (in baguio so kumalat agad yung balita). syempre sa baguio so medyo "wow" mga tao dun (kung malaman nila na kasing lakas lang ng SiR...yari ako! hehehe) syempre, i had to bear people talking behind my back saying na ang yabang ko etc...just coz i had that. badtrip syempre. this one time nga eh...may problema sa pag-idle yung 911 so i had to keep revving it around 1.5-1.7k rpm (not that loud naman, pero naririnig na parang binobomba ko yung gas)...a friend of mine heard this guy say to his friend "pare, yabang ng gago na yan...bugbugin kaya natin?" tapos pag mahataw lang minsan some guys shout "yabang mo!" bwiset...

nabangga pa nga ako with a taxi (his fault ha. hehehe) at a busy street in baguio...ganyan rin kaya iniisip sa akin dati? ("yan kasi, yabang yabang...") :D

Ang dami talagang tao na inggit dito sa Pilipinas. Classic "crab Mentality."

When I was in High School, I drove a 911 Targa and of course, as a porsche, halos everyday, may nasisira. (electrical, ignition, battery failures, faulty ignition switch etc..)
Tumirik ito right in front of the Bus Station near Ecology Village Makati. Nagtutulak kami with my friends and ang daming naka-tawa and parang natutuwa na tumirik yung porsche.
I have tons of bad experiences with owning a Porsche and it is not actually prestigious to own one. Para ngang pinaparusahan ka pag Porsche ang kotse mo sa Pilipinas.
Maganda lang yan sa una, pero once youve experienced it, the novelty will wear off.
