It greatly depends on the norms of the society that person lives in. In a more liberal society, premarital *** is almost expected like in US, Japan, UK, etc.

In other more conservative societies, the rate of PMS (premarital ***) is still quite high but the topic is usually made quiet by society and the church like in the Philippines. Denial is the word. Everyone has their levels of *** drive. Some prefer to test the waters while others prefer a more conservative route of abstaining until marriage. Either way, its not good nor bad. It is just "is".

Yup! That's very true. I've had some cases na nakilala ko yung friend, or ako pa yung pinakilala sa friend. Of course there was also a time na hindi ka pinayagan kasi kilala ka daw -- for me this translates na ayaw ka ishare ng ex mo.
