Point lang nun, mas malaki at stake sa babae dahil pwede siya mabuntis (9 mos + responsibilities after). Unlike sa lalaki pwedeng hit that and quit that. Plus, unlike sa lalaki na hindi nakakabawas yung maraming naka***partner, sa babae it can be to her disadvantage. Kaya mas picky at hindi go lang ng go ang mga babae.

Not all women though go after power and status. Siguro more on security, pero hindi naman kelangan maging super yaman or powerful ng guy to provide that feeling of security sa babae.

and also years to raise kids so not only do they need protection, they also need a good hunter to provide food

ngayon lang naman di kailangan ng protection and providing ang babae coz meron na governments and laws (state provides protection) and women earn money so di na masyado kailangan ng babae ang lalake

i mean di kailangan ng modern day women ang Khal Drogo

pero nandun parin ung carryover ng evolution... women are still attracted to alpha males

my point is the bar is set pretty low for a pinoy man to get a partner

so there's no pressure to strive unlike in other asian cultures

Yup at very common talaga na ang babae ang breadwinner. May ibang lalaki nga na proud pa sila na sila pagka gastusan. This is appalling for me dahil isa sa biggest issue sa family namin when my Mom refused to be a housewife and my paternal Lola got mad at her kasi she does not want people thinking that my Dad can't afford to have a family. Basta ang arrangement it's my Dad's money that will run the household.

getting married is like drugs and alcohol.
to some folks, they see it as a solution.
to others, it is a hindrance to their objectives in life.

I will NEVER get the career over marriage. True love is hard to find kaya! I've always dreamed of being a housewife but now that changed already - and I was in my late 30s when I realized that. Yung BFF ko expat sa Europe for almost 18 months, everyone thought dun na siya magkaka first BF (she is 36 or 37 na ata). Sinabihan ko rin siya na WINNER siya pag naka kuha siya ng BF sa headquarters namin dahil puro caucasian dun and majority have education in Europe plus US and they are paid really well (STABILITY) Umuwi pa rin na single. Saka ano naman akala mo sa mga kaibigan ko? Mukhang exotic?!?!

Uhm... meron naman di edukado na businessman...

Sa amin, madami hindi nakapg tapos ng college pero mind you, may ari ng 5 to 10 large fishing vessels hindi yung bangka.... asawa nya ngayon nurse... pero yung parents ng nurse, nurse sa U.S...

Siguro pag di edukado at di madiskarte sa buhay very limited choices nila..

That is our colonial mentality. "Why should i work hard when the fruits of my labor all goes to the haciendero?" So the sakada only works enough to pay tribute to his encomiendero and to feed himself. If he works more the encomiendero will just increase his tribute, leaving the same amount he had before. There is no incentive. Only when the filipino owns his business does he become industrious.

Jose Rizal may have actually been wrong when he said the filipino is not indolent. I think we were, on purpose.

Mahirap talaga pag ganyan mindset ng employee. My parents taught me by example yung malasakit. Isa pa, my output reflects on me kaya I don't like "pwede na" work. Kung palpak yan e di sabihin ng tao bobo ako or tamad LOL! If you deliver naman the minimum or as expected parang where's the passion?

Colonial mentality pala yan?

In my industry, in and around our province, I can proudly say that we give the highest wage to our employees. I think we are only one of the few who gives overtime pay and night differential pay. I always tell our employees that they can always ask our competitors’ employees about their wages, magkakakilala din kasi sila, and I know they are comparing notes.

But still, tatamad tamad pa rin, nagnanakaw pa rin.

I am talking of wages in the industry/line of business that we are in ha, not those multinationals and very big companies.

Meron din nyan sa Multinational, that is the reason why my pasabay buddy and I had conflict, we are super good friends but I don't like that he comes in late and he still files for OT. Alam ko hindi niya ko boss pero pinagsabihan ko siya dyan and he still does it. Tapos office hours busy sa ibang business niya. Wala na ko magawa basta I said my piece. ANg problema management caught on and he was managed out. Mag print ba naman ng maraming docs sa sideline niya e yung head ng department nakita HAHAHA

lights skin too because you are able to see agad sickness, a pink hue indicates health. Kaya universally white skin is considered attractive. Alam ko yung sasabihan na mga puti gusto ng Tan but not black skin. If we go by science, white skin talaga ang attractive sa biology.

Hmm siguro kung consultant na, pwede. But if you're dating an intern/resident/fellow - you're up for a lot of sacrifices.

Sure ganda pakinggan, "I'm dating a doctor". But if you're dating a 20s/early 30s doctor then chances are walang pera, walang oras, laging pagod, work is life, palamunin pa ng magulang.

Yung mga iniidolize mo na doctor and yung mga doctor na pinapakita sa TV puro mga consultant na yan. Tapos na yung hardest part of medical training. Kaya rare ang doctor na maaga mag-asawa.
