i don't think so. way back year 2013, we had our high school silver anniversary/reunion sa probins kong sinilangan. yung mga physically attractive nung araw, mga boys na paporma at mayayabang, karamihan either hindi nakatapos at hitsura hirap sa buhay. sa mga girls naman, sila yung mga maaga nakapag-asawa o nabuntis yung mga unattractive at mga tahimik nuong araw, yun na ang mga nakaka-angat sa buhay. nasa sarili mo yan paano mo i shape future mo. less attractive ka na nga tapos papatay-patay at mahina pa diskarte mo sa buhay, talagang pupulutin ka sa kangkungan

That's the problem. He is not a "performer". My friend is his direct manager and I hear nothing but complaints regarding his work output and attitude It's really his character that's the main problem.

Although charisma/looks really makes a difference in our company. We are heavy on politics too

If he doesn't make the effort to stand out from the crowd, he has no reason to complain. Simple as that. He should at least ask what would it take for him to progress out of his hole.

Not to put the blame on him totally..... I hope his manager has answers if the question is actually asked.
