kailangan ko to dito. dami kasing mga chic dito sa japan na nakatambay lang sa kalsada. di ko alam kung mga pick up or talagang ugali lang tumambay. chicken out ako e. di ko alam kung anong linya ang ibabanat ko pag nilapitan ko.
simpatiko, yung mga japanese chicks dyan, ang tamang pick-up dyan is via eye contact. di kasi masyadong marurunong mag english yang mga yan.
as i mentioned, make an eye contact, pag may naki pag eye contact din sa iyo, that is the time you approach them. ask them for coffee or snacks, tapos bahala ka na....
p.s. tried and tested formula ko yan pag nandyan ako sa tokyo.... kamusta na nga pala mga lindol dyan?
ako I usually strike a harmelss conversation by complimenting on the girl's watch, bag, shoes, tapos I tell her my sister has one and she got it from so on. Pero syempre you have to know what you're talking about...in short confident in a way na di ka sounding pa impress. You can sense kung type ka niya kausapin. Pag tipong yes/no lang sagot or facial expressions or gestures lang paalam ka na. Pero kung tipong sumasagot and interested sa mga sinasabi mo means she's comfortable chatting with you. Tapos ask mo na kagad yung phone number and invite her for coffee or lunch.
A simple "hi" or "hello" would do. But of course I usually say "hi--are you waiting for someone?" then chit-chat and then "can I have your cel number, if you don't mind?"
I like the catchy lines:
"hi! you look familiar..do i know you?"
"can i get you something?" - gals in the bar
"can I treat you to a nice hot coffee afterwards?"
"gusto mo magusap at magpahinga sa malamig at tahimik na lugar?"
After having a nice conversation--ask her name--then type it to your celphone and give your cel to her and ask her by just smiling--to put her number to it. It is quite effective.
Sometimes, being yourself will do you good more than pretending to be someone else.
