November 27th, 2002 07:16 AM #1May nakita lang akong remote Start kit sa Wal Mart. I'm planning to install sana for my car. Any experience/thoughts on this?
Mahirap bang ikasa to? Or may potential bang maging erratic ang car in the future because of this?
May car is Toyota Camry. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sir..uyng friend ng dad ko may ganyan...ok naman pero he doesn't use it much...its simply for "pasikat" purposes...i think mas ok yang autostart for automatic cars...kse mas safe...and alam ko automatic pwede nya rin i-on yung aircon...if you really want that...then go...dba?!? :D

November 27th, 2002 07:50 AM #3Thanks friend! Sa experience ko kasi laking tulong ito because I have quite a family to look after kapag nasakay sa auto (child seat, etc). so kapag nagstart na before I get in laking tulong din.
So gusto ko mastart ng ndi napasok sa kotse for that period.
Thanks!

November 27th, 2002 10:05 AM #4well yung sa friend ko din merong ganun...pag manual ka be sure na laging naka park ka sa neutral...then pwede nga naka on na agad ang aircon...
i dont know if yung ganyang klase eh tulad nung sa friend ko na kailangan iwanan ang key sa on para sa auto start....if thats the case...medyo delikado diba? yung sa friend ko kasi sa prov yun eh...then father nya pulis dun medyo kilala na so wala silang prob sa security nung car...
and i think mas malakas ang stress sa engine kung pag autostart naka on na agad ang aircon...
but it may be gud kung warm up mo lang yung engine and nde agad naka on ang aircon

November 27th, 2002 11:48 AM #7I dont' have any experience with remote starters, but isn't $29.99 pretty cheap for something that actually starts your car without you inside it?
I've seen a few remote starters that are being sold at Best Buy and Circuit City for a little under a hundred for the cheap ones and a little over $100 for the more expensive ones. And I think you can get remote starter units that work with car alarms.
If I were you, I wouldn't skimp on getting a quality starter. I'd get something that's safe, secure, reliable, and will last a long time, especially in inclement (extremely cold!) weather.
Good luck!

Yung Montero namin may ganyan.

Sa US ay illegal ang remote start sa 5 speed , advisable lang ito sa automatic pero there should be no prob installing it sa 5 speed . marami na ang nagkabit nito just for the purpose of like the earlier reply " pasikat " but the main purpose is to get the car started and cooled if its hot and vice versa .

my installer once told me that yung remote start na binebenta nya merong sensor which detects if the car is in neutral (MT Of course). If its not, it wont crank the engine. If what you'll buy has one of these, then ok na rin siguro.
Me personally, i dont want nor need these devices, but then again, thats just me
