Both are only limited editions (Mugen RR in Japan only... FQ400 in the UK only) but they come with full warranties.

    And they're both inline fours.
Isn't it the stock Honda S2000 (N/A) that produces the most HP/L?

the wankel engine of the rx-8 has 1300cc of displacement with an output of 240 plus HP. pero the displacement is still up for debate since wala cylinders ang rotary engine

The S2000 produces 100hp per liter (2.0L, 200hp), a similar ratio to the SiR.

Current F1 rules state that engines must be 90 degree V8's with a maximum 2.4L displacement, so no return of boxers in F1 in sight anytime soon.

The primary reason for boxers not being used in F1 however, is strength, not the rules. In terms of smoothness and weight distribution, lamang talaga ang boxer. But since the Cosworth DFV of the 60's the engine block has become a stressed member - that is, it is an integral part of the chassis and contributes to the chassis' strength. In this respect, inline and vee engines are superior (some 1.5L turbo four bangers during the DFV and turbo eras).

It still produces 240 hp... but it's no longer 2 liters... it's 2.2 liters, now. It used to hold the record.

Most exotic high revving big engines produce around 100-110 hp per liter.

Multiple spark plugs per rotor... if you consider that each rotor has two sets of combustion chambers, the displacement rises from 1.3 liters to an equivalent 2.6 liters... but the size and weight of the engine is still similar to a smaller engine.

In other words... it's a 2.6 as light as a 1.3 liter with the fuel consumption of a 3.5 liter.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

guys ever heard of the W-type engine, a 2 V-type engines with a single crankshaft? i know its not conventional nor practical but should it be also consider on this discussion?

its the engine of the bugatti veyron

    W-16 (2 V8's)
    8.0 L displacement
    1001 BHP *6000rpm
    6500 redline
923 ft-lb of torque or 1250 Nm available from 2200-5500 rpm
    Quad torbo's (4 turbo)
    2.5 sec 0-100kph
    407 kph top speed
    7 speed sequential transmission
    4.1 km/L fuel consumption (grabe)

and it is now the most powerfully and the fastest production car overtaking the Mclaren F1 (not the formula 1 car)

the volkswagen phyton also has a W12 engine
