Devildoc you think its worth to mount the nozzle in the elbow of the manifold after the throttle body? Im having 2nd thoughts on drilling that metal elbow.. Im currently mounted pre-intercooler..

My rubber coupling broke a month ago because it was too tight the nozzle adapter to fit between then intercooler & throttle body
It's always best to mount the nozzle after the intercooler. You can get a bung welded on the elbow.

Pump can be mounted in the front or back of the vehicle.

& is it okay to mount the nozzle exactly in the elbow (curve) 2" away from the impeller..

Am i putting alot of stress in the pump
    if i only use 1 DO 0.75 nozzle ?

With a 1gph nozzle or .75 that would be fine on the bend. Atomization is pretty fine with both those nozzles.

Just a follow up, I fixed this kit, well more like patched it so it works, The install was totally FUBAR. Wired wrong, 1gph nozzle not a 3gph nozzle, wires just cut and spliced together with tap, none of the posi-tap connectors were used. Won't name the installer but I was embarrassed by the installation of the kit because the performance was not there because of a bad install. We put in a 4gph nozzle and it very fast now.

I have a small problem with the pump. The hose fitting of the pump going to the intake seems to be loose, and I found out this morning that the hose is already detached and the lock is not present anymore. Can I replace that fitting or should I bring that to Berrima to have it repaired?

Still am enjoying devildoc thanks for quick fix I had my friend do the wiring instead now it's all nice and clean like how it should be at first. Anyways should I experiment with a 3gph instead of the 4gph??? What possible benefits can I get from it over the 4gph???? Thanks again devildoc!

Looks like someone pulled the hose out improperly, it is a push to connect fitting, it cannot just be pulled out. You need a new pump head, they are not repairable.

A little less power but with a 2.5 liter engine still plenty of cooling and power. It's all about how much consumption you want. I use a 7gph nozzle with my set up with 23psi on a 3.2 liter engine, No issues with bogging.

You do have a boost activated kit with the 3gph nozzle you would be able to set your start point a bit lower without having to worry about any bogging, It's all about personal preference, But if you don't have a big tank a 3gph would probably be the smarter choice. I have a 30 liter tank so it's a non issue for me.

Yup it shouldn't be. Me and my father did some adjustments last week Sunday on the mounting of the motor. After the adjustments, everything was still intact. It's just that one Wednesday morning that we noticed the hose was already detached and the lock was nowhere to be found.

Question Doc, if I'll be ordering this upper housing assembly, what is the voucher code? It keeps on asking me to input a voucher code.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have a Stage 1 kit installed on my LC Prado. But it's not working. Also, I'm not entirely sure if the install is correct, etc. Thing is, no thanks to time constraints, I have no time to take it to the shop who installed it, nor to Berrima, who's relatively close to my work area.

Are there any suggested mechanics/shops who are close to the Makati CBD who know how to install/troubleshoot an AI install? Or is there a shop/trusted mechanic who I can go to/meet with on Sundays in the Ortigas center/Pasig area?

    Thanks.

Best to take it to a installer, But we did design the direction for anyone to to understand, You can print out the directions and take it to a credible shop.

dvldoc, for the stage 2 kit, can I tap from the engine's MAP sensor boost line going to the WAI controller? Also, will be using the nozzle mounting adapter, will this be really good and without any leak? TIA.
