I have a 2003 Lancer MX . Pero , after a while nawawala naman . Ano po kaya ang reason nito? The sound is like kapag may turnilyo na maluwag ( not necessarily sa car) .

Sounds like the engine mount... its located left and right near the strut mounts.

i used to have one such car. nice and smooth to drive, but guzzled gas.
    1. as stock says, check the engine mounts. don't worry. mura lang yan.
    2. what fuel are you using? i was using the cheapest fuel in the gas station, and i didn't ping. as vibes says, try using higher octane fuel and see if it disappears.. if it clears up, then you probably need a tune-up or a clean up (decarbonizing).
    3. my front shocks made some squeeking noises, before they finally froze. i had to replace 'em both. hey! 'twas cheaper than i thought, but not as cheap as what i would have wished. 7K yata... but not sure. nagpagawa rin kasi ng aux fan..
    4. try kutingtinging around the engine, sir. baka may maluwag lang na turnilyo o clamp.. yung air scoop na naka-turnilyo sa front crossbar, maluwag ba?
    5. i would recommend valve clearance check, in case they were too loose. but valves make more of a sharp chattering sound that softens after a while..., and not kumakalansing...

so how does your car sip fuel, sir?
    good luck.

the classic description of engine knock (ping or tope in tagalog) is that of marbles falling onto a tin metal kulahan or G.I. roof.
once you hear it, you'll never forget it. it always sends shivers up my wallet...

Your engine will vibrate if the engine mount is the culprit. Engine mounts are not that cheap though.

Is the engine mount the same as engine support? I just had it changed August 2015.

Yes, the same, meant to say engine support. Always use original engine support, if you use replacement you will still feel the engine vibration.

Had the same thing happen with my 2010 civic. Vibrations sa pedal and floor especially when shifting gears. Engine support nga ang culprit and 5 digits damage since casa ko pinagawa

stick to original mounts shouldn't be too expensive.
