    I have a 2.5 year old Turbo Diesel van that survived Ondoy mostly intact. Kaya lang parang lumala ang turbo lag niya. Dati pag nasa 1500 RPM, hataw na siya. Ngayon parang gusto niya 2000 RPM, at pag naglalag siya, suber bagal talaga ng akyat ng RPM.

    At meron pang intermittent (pero madalang at sandali lang) na CEL o check engine light na maari at maari ding hindi related.

    Hindi nasira ang ECU nitong van na ito nung Ondoy. Siya nga ang kaisa isang nalubog namin na di nagpalit ng ECU.

    Pero puwede kayang nag worsen ang turbo lag dahil sa baha? Ano dapat unahin tignan? Dumi sa intercooloer?

    Assuming the turbocharger itself has no problems, you might want to have the wastegate and/or blowoff valve checked if it's operating correctly and no leaks are coming from them.

    Thanks guys. Will do. Hindi kaya mud din sa IC? Hindi naman kasi na steam clean after nung baha e -- ginamitan lang ng high pressure sprayer. Di kaya yun din ang naka damage?

    Maaring may moisture sa harness connectors, o may sira ang ECU.... sana hindi.

    Nabanggit mo yung CEL sa unang post mo. Napa scan mo na ba?

    Ano engine mo?

    If you have doubts if your IC is in good condition, just give it a simple pressure test to see if it leaks or not. It shouldn't take more than half an hour to do it if the service shop has the facilities.

    mayroon ka ng lead sa problem yung CEL, pa scan mo muna

    same tyo ng problem paps sa 4d56 ko....dati 1500 rpm lang angat na agad ngyon ayaw na....ndi naman na undoy tong saken....napalinis ko na ang turbo ko bago air filter ko...newly changed oil .... ganun pa din...ano pa kaya kuLang ??

    1. Check accelerator cable adjustment. Baka hindi umaabot ang pump lever sa maximum position.
    2. Replace fuel filter.
    3. Check transmission shift pionts kung matic.
    4. Calibrate injection pump.

    you could always buy autogauge boost gauge at around 1.2k. madali lang isak-sak, sulit na din yun =)

    Nope, nothing wrong with the ECU ... kaya nga hirap i diagnose. Kaka check lang niya pati after Ondoy.

    +1 On the boost gauge. I'll have one installed ASAP -- matagal ko na nga iniisip, maabala pero mura nga lang.

    The engine's a Ssangyong 2700 cc 5-cylinder TDCi na na submerge but came out with minimal damage, other than this.

    Kainis sa Wheels e yung comp diagnostician ay SA at hindi mechanic kaya di din niya ma diagnose properly at reset lang ng reset. Iwanan daw doon ng mga 1 week para ma diagnose ng maayos.

    But looking at the Actyon thread, I now strongly suspect vacuum regulator. Para kasing may problema sa paghinga eh kaya pag bagong linis ang air filter, the CEL becomes VERY seldom.

    alright, btw, make sure may kasama vaccuum guage sa boost gauge para mas ma detect lag mo dyan. kasi nag ne negative siya ng lubos kung sobra ang lag.

Turbo Lag Worsened??
