Hi, just to give an update. Napa-change oil na po namin yung car yesterday and tune-up but still the car is having this cold start problem. When I start the engine this morning, it took 8 tries bago tuluyang umistart yung car. Ano pa po kaya ang dapat ipacheck, were beginning to loose hope, lagi na lang pong ganun, hinde magamit sa oras yung car cause I always need to allot more time sa umaga dahil nga po hinde agad umiistart. TIA

A clogged air filter may cause hard starting,
and sabayan mo pa ng e10 gasoline na not designed for cars with carburator system
    which makes it evaporate more.

Normal practice na these days with carb yung before cold start,
give your gas pedal a tap or two, pra lang mareplace yung natuyong gasolina

This is really what I am doing everytime I start the car, actually, more than 2 pumps in gas pedal pa po ginagawa ko para lang umistart because 1 or 2 pumps will not do.

Sir, how do I distinguish if my carb is a manual choke or electric choke?

In my case both hard start problems when cold are due to the newer formulation of Blaze.

Just to share, I now make it a point to buy parts and fluids for my old civic directly from Honda if there is no "reliable/branded" replacement available, but I have it installed outside. Iwas din ako sa unknown talyer na may nakalagay sa signage na "expert in..." pero marumi at makalat ang shop, walang lifters at professional tools and equipment ako na makita.

Sir, normally pag choke mechanism ang issue ay inaadjust ang A/F mixture, right? Correct me if Im wrong, di ba ito po yung screw na may spring sa may carb aside from the idle up for RPM? Thanks

everybody seems to be concentrated on the fuel and the fuel system. how is the igntion? is the spark intensity high enough? are there secondary ignition leaks? if i am not mistaken, this engine has a distributor and spark plug wires. try running the engine and tune the radio to A.M. and listen to static at different radio frequency on this band. if there are high voltage leaks, there will be ticking noises heard on the radio speakers proportionate in frequency to the engine speed.

Gawin muna 1,000 rpm for test isolation. Off mo na rin muna aircon every time mag cold start ka.

Sir, around 800 to 900 is my normal rpm. And yes, my a/c is always off everytime I start the car. Thanks

    Thanks
