    Patulong naman po sa lancer 2001.

    Nagpacheck kasi ako dati ng check engine light ko sa casa. Umiilaw kasi pag nag iidle yung koche, sabi nila TPS daw ang problema. Pero di ko pa napapalitan.

    So, a month after at di ko parin napapalitan, napansin ko pag naka aircon ako, mahina hatak niya, tapos pag nasa mga 1800-2000rpm na, biglang tataas ng bigla yung rpm to mga 2200-2300rpm siguro..kaya biglang bibilis yung sasakyan kahit steady lang yung tapak ko sa gas..

    Dahil kaya sa TPS yung ganun o may iba pang problema yung sasakyan?

    if you have any of diagnostic trouble codes P0121, P0122, P0123 or all of them, yes the tps might be bad. first, confirm that you have 5 volts as a reference voltage, confirm that you have a good sensor ground and have a sweep done on the output wire. the vref wire is green with light blue tracer, the sensor signal is green with white tracer and the sensor ground is the black wire.. the most common rpm range where it wears out the sensor plate is around 2000 rpm ( the engine speed at cruising)

    Have the same exact experience. High rpm around 2 to 3k rpm when neutral or in between changing gears. Had it scanned but no reading. Replaced it my self then reset ecu. Problem fixed.
