if you want to go any lower than that... E10 pwede diyan pero sabi nga nila, bababa yung FC mo and its more efficient to fill the tank with super unleaded.

if you really want to save on gas... as ghosthunter would say... LPG na yan.

yup medyo offset lang and costs on regular unleaded vs. E10. but i would suggest you try it first. kung malaki ang difference ng mileage, then compute what would make it more cost effective.

yung LPG, pa convert ka lang at authorized outlets. hwag sa kanto-kanto lang. patulong ka kay GH or go to a Total Gas station who does conversions. I've seen one dito sa may Filinvest Alabang.

The gasoline being sold here are all unleaded. But the gasoline companies classified them as

    Unleaded for 91 RON
    Premium for 93 RON
Special for 95 or higher RON

96 Corolla runs on 91 RON. So you could switch, up or down, to of from any RON at any time for gasoline not less than 91 RON. You can even mix them.

    Thank you.
MY 1st gen CR-V manual states it needs at least 95 octane fuel. What generation is your CR-V?

Well then you are just wasting money. If your manual states that you don't need high octane fuel but you use it and then mix it with lower octane fuel you are wasting money. Save money and just follow what the car is supposed to use, mixing octane has no benefits and serves no purpose.

OT: why will mileage on E10 decrease...and what are the pros and cons of E10 if used on carburated engines?

there's a sign on E10 pumps saying: designed for fuel injected engines

^^ may nakapagsabi sakin that if E10 is used sa carb engine, there will be a vapor lock. this occurs daw with carb type engines kaya E10 is advisable only to EFI cars.

Personal experience lang po....when i used "unleaded" gas in my 1993 Corolla before parang madaling maubos....when back to premium mas okey performance. Its probably due to the additives which make fuel burned maximally.

Pakiramdaman mo lang. Mixing different octane levels does not make sense.
