turned my attention to a 1st generation 4G63T (1990 JDM galant engine)

potek... 5km per liter city driving... waaaaaaa!!

I'm done with my obsession na... i needed rehab...

Now i'm sober for 2 years na ata...

Stock is good.

Stay stock.

Ya i know...

but at that time, i was a junkee. I didnt think about fuel consumption. I got tired of spending stupid money trying to extract hp from my N/A 1.6...

and finally i gave up and went 2.0 turbo.

felt great. U hear the turbo spooling up and feel the accelaration u can never get with a 1.6 N/A.

Then i realized the 5 km per liter mileage...

that's when i thought hindi na practical ung ginagawa ko...

wassup guys, well heres some of my simple thoughts on stock intakes vs. aftermarket intakes:

-kung "stock" lang ang makina mo, and you want fuel economy rather than performance.. then stick with a stock air filter.

-kung mildly to heavily modified ang makina mo and nakikipag karera ka (and dont give a ish on fuel economy) then get a short ram or a cold air, Air Intake kit.

pero siguro ngayon na mataas ang presyo ng gasolina (like here in the US.. $3.55 / gallon of 91 octane piss gas) I think I'd rather keep everything STOCK right now!!.... well, except for my Supra turbo... coz nothing in that car is "stock" lolz.

binalik ko na lang sa stock yung air filter ko then binenta ko na lang sa barkada yung simota air filter ko since hindi ako satisfy sa performance.. hehehe.. salamat sa inyo.

every six months ako magpalit pero depende pa din sa gamit mo.

di na ako bumili ng simota air filter... nag survey ako sa mga kakilala ko.. sabi nila binalik din nila sa stock.... pero ang advise nila pag gusto ko talaga mag air filter knh daw... pero stock pa rin daw recommended... kaya ayun binilhan ko na lang ng filter 250 petot lang

ako di ko alam a nagpakabit ako ng K&N airfilter with MAF adaptor at napansin ko mas responsive ang makina at tumipid sa gas ng konti, ito advice sakin ng mechanic namin kasi masyadong restrictive daw yung stock airbox pati maliit ang snorkel kaya sakal daw,
