stock pa rin ang gamit ko sa 15 year old car ko.
pinapalitan ko na lang ito every 4 months.
yung aftermarket airfilters (like simota, k&n), maganda nga din ito pero ayaw kong magwash pa ng airfilter. tapos mag-apply pa ng shampoo at special oil pa para dito. medyo hassle sa akin ang ganito kaya i still prefer using the stock airfilter. so far, no problem whatsoever sa tsikot ko.

From what I've heard, ang kagandahan daw ng aftermarket is dagdag hp plus you don't have to replace it, just wash it plus good-to-look-at. I'm planning to buy one but haven't tried it yet.

Stock air filter intake = 1 VS Aftermarket Airfilter intake = 1

Think of it this way, you get more airflow with an aftermarket air filter, but more dust too.
In a 1.3L engine it wouldn't matter much because your engine is designed for optimal fuel economy, not performance.

Are you sure a aircon filter is enough to block otside dust? Aircon filter is for indoor dust lang kasi.
