This is one of those classic never-ending debates about performance parts.
From what I've observed, performance air filters work best on gas than diesel engines. Except maybe on turbo-diesels.

No need to modify any thing in the engine bay.

ive went as far as running a car with no air filter...
removed 1 headlight and installed an air intake tube that gets air from where the headlight was...
that freakin obsession with low-restriction airflow wont stop...
before ako natauhan, i was throwing out the entire stock exhaust, installed 4-1 headers, 2.5 inch piping and huge N1 muffler...
then my obsession turned to the cylinderhead...
Damn... what's the use of low restriction intake and exhaust if all that air gets bottlenecked in the cylinderhead?
So tanggal cylinderhead --- hello machine shop
haaaay... looking back... bye bye pera
hehehe

^ Don't forget larger throttle body, larger intake manifold chamber and longer plenums for more torque
Oh boy am I just making it worse for your wallet?Last edited by mbeige; December 14th, 2007 at 04:04 PM.
