speed limiter? afaik, you have speed limiter in your car. it's in the ECU which limits/controls your top speed.

speed limiter is totally different from a rev limiter.
rev limiter = controls/limits engine rpm so you won't over rev when you hit redline. most cars today have it too.

Thanks for the info. I did not know there are 2 kinds of limiters.
Do you think that the Avanza have a rev limiter? My wife is restarting to learn how to drive. Napapapikit na lang ako pag lumalagpas siya sa 3K sometimes 4K rpm and some times in neutral (akala nya naka kambio pa siya).

Modern cars usually have both a speed limiter and a rev limiter, but some only have a rev limiter.
If the car is identical to its Japanese market version, it'll have a 180-185 km/h speed limiter. If not, it'll keep going till it reaches the limits of its power versus the drag it incurs at high speed, which is often between 170-190 km/h for small cars.... or, until it reaches the rev-limiter in top gear.
If you want a good speed limiter for your wife, stick a block of wood under the gas pedal, one big enough to limit her to 1/3rd pedal travel. ;)
When she asks why the pedal's so short, sabihin mo lang... recalibrated sa casa lang yun... :naughty2:
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
