correct me if im wrong. ang alam ko po sir pag cold air intake (cai) mahahaba yung pipe down to the fender at good quality yung pipe yung pipe na ginagamit. so if u have long pipe and insulator sa heat then pwede cguro yung simota na magiging cai? hehehhe

aba oo nga noh...ba't di ko naisip yun!!!

kaso nga lang mahal yung mga cold air intake kits sa mga stores dito. probably bili na lang ako ng K&N na filter tapos kabitan ko na lang ng cold air intake pipe. but where am going to buy those pipes (besides PVC pipes), how much, and does K&N or Simota sells cold air intake pipes individually dito sa 'Pinas???

i heard someone telling me na may Iceman imitation daw. meron ba nun?

    anyone?

    thanks in advance....

di ko maintindihan kung bakit reset pa ng ecu?? ecu is used sa mga sensors. wala naman sensor sa air filter nasa throttle body naman.

No problem with using Simota as a CAI, but custom pipes that long cost $$$. Maybe 4-5 thousand at eRL on P.Tuazon (by Chocolate House)

mojako, interesting yung article, pero K&N panel versus simota cone... syempre panalo Simota... more interesting kung K&N cone versus Simota cone... The margine will be the same in the opposite direction.

yan_168, most EFI cars have a Mass Air Flow/Pressure sensor right behind the filter.

And usually, you don't have to reset the ECU... it will work just fine... or if it doesn't, it will adapt in a few hours.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

guys, question. if a car's engine is efi and you want to replace the stock filter with an aftermarket type, do you have to reset the ecu? if so, how do i do this?

    thanks in advance!
---- hmmm, ngayon ko lang narining to ah. 2 beses na kasi ako nagpalit ng filter. dati simota then after few months k&n na. basta pag kabit start na kaagad. wala naman ako naexperience na sira or ano. mag2years na rin yung k&n sa kotse ko. ok pa rin hangang ngayon. ang mumura ng k&n nyo ah.hehe san nyo nabibili yun? yung akin kasi 4,200 mas mahaba pa siya sa regular type. filter lang yun wala pa tube. yung tube ko is simota.

simota? siguro mga 1.5k sa banawe.

im using HKS supa hybrid filter on my a32. after installing biglang tumaas yung rpm. normal lang daw yun since nag aadjust pa yung ECU. after a few minutes ok na.

it may happen, esp on computerized engines (vvt-i, vtec) lalo na kung mali yung pagkakakabit nung air intake. the fuel air mixture will be so lean that it would cause knocking. (the feeling when you go below ideal idle rpm)

in general, air intakes (short and cold) will increase hp at higher rpms, especially on cold air intakes. it will increase fuel efficiency due to increased hp. i don't know its effect on the torque though.

mga masters, i have read some feedbacks that simota filters are not good. there were test results showing that stock filters actually perform better than simota filters. ano masasabi nyo dito?

    nabasa ko dito noon.

simota filters delivers more or less the same air by k&n but the filtering capabilities put it down.
