    ay ganun ba. yung amin (adventure 4d56 diesel) ay kapag hilain dipstick habang naandar ay dami natalsik na oil at may usok pa kapag gina gas.. pati nga yung takip ng makina kung saan nilalagyan ng oil, kapag naandar at binuksan, dami natalsik na oil at usok..

    adventure ba namin talagang malala na?? 10 years na kc, without overhaul or dukot, pro change oil lang. minsan nga change oil naabot ng 8 months interval..

    how's the oil consumption? mausok na ba talaga?

    kung hindi pa, wag na lang muna.

    overhauls are not 100% perfect job. minsan kasi, palpak ang mga mekaniko. makes you even wish you haven't had it overhauled.

    imo lang...

    sa ngayon hindi maaksaya sa oil ang advnture namin.. FUEL consumption nga nito 11-12 kms/liter. pag highway/longtrip nasa 12-13 naman..

    pasensya na po but i think bobo sa engine yan driver na kakilala mo... if you still have your car user manual PLEASE READ.. it is clearly stated that never open the oil filler cap and oil dipstick whenever the engine is running!!!

    as for the air and smoke coming out (especially sa diesel engine noticeable talaga ang smoke) normal yan due to blowby gases (but not to the extent na talagang sobra yung lumalabas na usok) yung oil talagang tatalsik yan due to moving parts, engine pressure and oil mist...

    if you will check your dipstick may O-ring yan same with your oil cap may oil gasket to make sure na walang ibang lalabasan yung blowby gases but to the PCV tube... if you open any points, of course dun talaga lalabas yung hangin kasi hindi na sealed yung system...not 100% naman na dun lahat sa PCV pupunta yung blowby gases, so during high revs mataas ang pressure inside the engine kaya minsan may "pawis" ng oil yung sides ng valve cover mo.. pag barado yang pcv or excessive talaga blow by gases mag pop-out yang dipstick mo..

    as long as hindi kumakain or nag susunog ng engine oil yang makina mo OK na OK yan at nasa tamang condition.. wag mo pagagalaw kung wala naman sira.. yung nga brandnew carens eh sinubukan ko din buksan yung oil cap while running may oil din na tumatalsik yung nga lang hindi pa maitim kasi bago pa... sa tingin mo need ba padukot yun??? no thanks hahaha

    AY OO NGA NOH... dinaman masyado bobo, medyo konti lang alam.
    siguro nga ok pa naman.. kasi sa oil concumption, within 3 months, less than 1 liter oil lang ang nababawas.. sa fuel consumption nga nasa 11-12 kms/liter at 13 pa nga pag long trip highway eh.. di rin naman gaano kausok tong adventure namin. medyo mausok lang pagka start pero normal lang yun sa diesel.

    its not normal at all, i have a 4ja1 engine check up last week its the same situation like yours may usok sa dip stick at usok sa filler cap pero the catch is hindi sia nag a add up ng oil until mag change oil sia in 3 months. its pretty normal,yung sa case mo nag a add up ka pa ng oil it means to say nag burning oil na yung engine mo, wala bang leak yun?

    kung nauubos ang engine oil eh hindi talaga normal yan kasi nagsusunog na ng langis yung engine...

    but what are your basis na nauubos nga ang oil?? check muna natin as per manual on how to measure engine oil.. baka naman mali ang pag sukat natin at dagdag tayo ng dagdag ng oil which is bad of the engine..

    also kung very minimal lang ang loss of oil eh ok pa yan kasi the engine is not 100% machine there will always be losses especially sa oil during operation...

    one way of checking kung oil is burning is by smelling the exhaust... it is very noticeable in the smell of oil burning together with diesel...also you will notice na medyo malapot yung engine oil mo pag nagsusunog na ng langis kasi yung carbon humahalo na sa langis..

    anytime is engine is running and you open up a supposedly sealed chamber normal lang na may lalabas na hangin.

should there be air coming out from dipstick tube?
