Using 5w30 oil is a no-brainer for Motor-Image. 5w30 is the recommended viscosity for FA20 (FXT and WRX). They just need to stock one type of oil to cater for a majority of their model lineup. Motor-Image BGC uses Shell Helix Ultra 5w30 for their base oil but they offer Motul 5w40 for older Subie models or owners of FA20-powered cars who opt for a heavier viscosity.
