* sir migs: sorry did not get the email reply. what RP oil is best for my oldschooler? it's an '88 mazda pickup truck -- gas engine. 2.6L.. manual tranny. carbureted.. 4wd (how about RP transfer case and manual tranny oil?)

10323015, yes we do. but sometimes if we're loaded or may absent na gagawa i refer to friends. hehe!

azzkkr2600, use the 10w40 for your truck. transfer and tranny/lsd oil uses royal purple max gear 75w90

toyota casa has been using 5w40 for my vios 1k, 5k, 10k and 15k mileage.. out of warranty na nung nagpa-20k ako kaya sa speedyfix ko dinala.. ginamit nila is 10w40 RP..

is it ok to switch back to 5w40 sa 25k ko (sa April)? i feel like mas ok yung 5w40..

that's fine. or you can also use a 5w30 or 10w30 oil if your milage is low pa.

my mileage is still below 21k and might go for the change oil again in April even if it'll probably be just 23k.

Sir asked ko lang puwede ba yung viscosity na 20w50 sa gasoline type na engine?? Medyo old model na engine ko... Toyota 3T 1980 model owner type jeep lang siya.... And sabi kasi ng mechanic ko masyadong manipis daw yung 10w40... Usually ginagamit lang daw yung viscosity 10w40 sa new model na engine... I've use Rp oil for 2 consecutive times na change oil 10w40 so far wala naman mga leaks okey naman performance ng engine ko... Im planning na mag change oil ulit by feb what po recommended nyo na viscosity???

PS: Pwede ba mag mix ng PERTUA sa RP oil??

If you have no problems with the 10w40 then sayang naman to use the thicker oil. lalakas ka lang sa gas and you'll lose some power because of the thicker viscosity. kung walang problems sa 10w40 i suggest sticking to it nalang.

hello, question po. pwede po ba yung drain oil lang then replace with royal purple? kaka replace pa lang po kasi ng oil fiter ko. nagpa 5K PM po kasi ako sa toyota pero hindi nila pinalitan yung oil since nung 1K PM ko eh nagpalagay ako ng synthetic na oil (amalie yung ginamit nila)

worry ko po kasi kapag pinalitan ko yung filter na nilagay ng toyota eh malaman nila na nagpaservice ako ng oto aside from casa which could void my waranty

replace the oil filter any time you replace the oil just so the oil there does not mix with the new oil especially if it's a different brand.

just buy an oem oil filter from toyota. they'll never know that you replaced it from what they installed if the oil filter is oem pa.

ilang KMS pala before mag pa change oil ulit using RP??

bro, nagpa-change oil ako sa shop mo last October 22 using RP 10w30, my car's mileage during that time is 220,500kms., today (Jan.15) nasa 222,800kms. palang siya which means nasa 2,300kms. palang tinatakbo ko, pero di ba every 3 months or 5,000kms. (w/c ever comes first) dapat magpa-change-oil nako?

or since RP is synthetic, ok lang ba na every 6 months or 10,000kms. (w/c ever comes first) ang sundin ko?

my car is honda civic '96 lxi, and bihira ko lang talaga siyang gamitin.

RP change oil intervals can be 10k or once a year for regular gasoline engines. no need to do it any sooner unless you want to and assuming it's regular use (no trackdays, relatively stock engines, etc)
