    That is such a scam these dealerships run, No other country I know of does this. You should ask to see that in writing about the oil voiding your warranty. It's basically a form of blackmale.

    Exactly. It's something i noticed with Toyota and they'll scare you by saying that your warranty would be void. When i used to go to Nissan for servicing before, they never had any qualms about me bringing in my own oil and parts. I just stuck to the OEM oil filter while the car was under warranty and they even did some warranty repairs a few months after my warranty lapsed. With my Corolla now, after the 10,000kms service, i'm going to be using my own oils and filters already.

    most of the toyota dealerships doesnt allow bring of own oil/filter. while most of mitsubishi dealerships do allow.

    "if we can't capitalize & profit from you, we'll VOID your warranty!"
