an aftermarket muffler is more an aesthetic mod if your car's engine is stock
but if you did mods to your car's engine which makes it take in more air and burn more fuel, and naturally, produces more exhaust (like turbocharging), then replacing the stock exhaust piping and muffler is more a requirement than aesthetics
if it happens to look good, then it's just a plus

im using stock muffler ng altis, yung pang shy type yung tunog, tahimik eh pero headers and pipings ko hindi na stock, gusto ko lang tahimik.
OT: bakit yung iba, iniba lang ang muffler nila , naging syento-bente na auto nila? mayabang! hehehe pagong naman! saw two corolla xe sa valenzuela, naka muffler ng motor...ang liliit eh...broom brooom
