branded sparkplugs usually have a cross reference table to check compatibility with other sparkplugs or engines. shops usually have this chart.

i just used this cross reference table when i bought my bosch platinum plugs. wala naman naging problem and nothing really changed. mas matagal lang bago ko palitan yung sparkplugs. my old regular plugs lasts me about a year but my last set of bosch plugs lasted about 4 years.

if it's compatible with your oem plug then the problem lies somwhere else.
