This is what shops overseas told me and some shops here said to me that if I go higher horsepower on a turbo I should oversize everything.
Is this true that I have to oversize everything on the engine?

    Thanks.

syempre coz high boost pressure puts a lot of stress on engine parts

stock N/A engine parts weren't made to handle high boost pressure

    you need stronger everything

stronger pistons, stronger crankshaft, stronger connecting rods, stronger cylinder head bolts, etc

Yes I know stock won't handle the stress
I know I have to purchase aftermarket parts but which one is it the high comp pistons or should it be low comp pistons for turbo set up?

    Thanks.

    high compression pistons for all-motor

    low compression pistons for turbo

    huh?

    ano mali doon?

what does that have to do with oversize?

if you're boosting an N/A engine (N/A engines have high compression pistons) you replace the pistons with low compression ones coz it's unsafe to use high compression pistons with high boost pressure (prone to detonation)

I think this is just a matter of simple logic. more 'muscle' equates to more power.

"Oversize" does not mean "High Compression"

"Oversize" means to either bore out or "stroke" the motor.

Most likely, the shop in the US is suggesting you get a stroker kit, for more power potential. This gives you more effective displacement. Pair this with the correct turbo pistons and you'll have a turbo-friendly compression ratio along with big displacement.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    yep

they could be suggesting you either rebore the block to accept bigger pistons

or get a stroker kit if you wanna retain stock bore

I see yan ang hindi sinabi sa akin nung shops overseas.Basta sinabi sa akin oversize mo lahat kahit na sinabi ko na "its for turbo application".
Now I know what to do.

    Thanks.
