car is ranger 2012. had the car serviced to the nearest casa (3km away) for 10k pms. drove home.
didn't used this car for 10days. was about to use it today due to bad weather.

found out a puddle of oil underneath (half glass maybe).
crawled underneath and checked. driver side ladder frame is wet and so is crossmember.
can't see clearly the oil leak source.

checked oil level (engine off and cold). overfilled by 2 inches.

went to casa. said it has a leak due to being overfilled. instructed to have it drained and have the underside wiped.

after an hour they said it was already ok. no problem whatsoever. no oil was drained. oil was only remnant of the change oil of 10k pms.
was advised to use it first then monitor and come back if it persists.

took a break after going home. uneasy with the leak so did check it again.
crawled underneath. it was not wiped.
took a closer look on where oil is coming from. couldn't pinpoint it.

got up and checked the hood. upon closer inspection it seemed that the valve cover is wet.
removed the engine cover. yes, leak is coming from the valve cover.

    comments and suggestions please.

*pasensiya na hirap i-kwento sa tagalog.

since this was caused by the casa, bring it back to them and diagnose what were the supposed to be damages that resulted from their actions.
    mahirap ng masisi...
and for your peace of mind na din.

imho, if it was overfilled, baka magoverflow yung excess oil sa sparkplugs...

too much oil would result to over pressure. oil seals would break. bring It back to casa and let them rectify the damage. observe and wipe down where the oil seals are placed. good thing hindi pa ganon katagal ginagamit baka wala pa masyado nadamage.

oil leak due to overfilled oil
