Moisture? Haha.

Moment of silence...

^ +1 here. Sabi nga nila pag may katwiran ipaglaban mo!!!

My car had its first PMS kahapon sa Mitsubishi. I had to do some errands kaya binalikan ko n lng yung auto after a few hrs. Bigla ko lng naisip if there's a way to check sa car system or dun sa mga meter sa dash board kung ginawa nga yung sked maintenace check particularly yung pag change oil. nagmamadali ako kya pirma lng ako ng pirma and ngayon ko lng din na notice n blanko yung cheklist n copy ko. yung green n copy ng casa yun yung pinirmahan ko. 1K p lng nman yung auto so hindi ako masyado worried kung na check ba sya maigi. pero for future reference i need to know ano mga dapat gawin kpag pinasok sa casa yung auto for PMS. Thanks n advance sa inputs nyo.

Bago ipasok sa casa, may checklist titingnan current status like dents, if all controls are working, etc.

At 1K PMS, free of charge yan sagot ng car manufacturer. replace oil and filter since breakin period. read the owner's manual and PMS checklist it came with para ma-compare mo kung tama ginagawa ng casa.

    Cathy girl,

Jan maraming horror stories like honda alabang, honda pasig, honda makati....basta honda ayala dealership ampaw.

Sir best way para malaman na pinalitan is demand for the replaced parts. Or gaya ng ginagawa ng iba, lagyan mo ng palatandaan yung luma.

    Sa Gen 10.5 yung Iridium.

Was the car engine washed by Toyota after the service?

And yeah lots of fake NGK, Bosch, Champion, even ND are being faked by chinamen

Hehehe there are even fake chinese people too.

You have been taken for a ride on a guess and hope wagon. Sorry to hear that. As for me, I give the old parts to the owner except parts that leak and parts taken back as core. A friend places the parts installed and removed by his technicians if it did not fix the customer's concern on a shelf as a piece on the wall of shame.

Unfortunately i dont have similar vehicle to test the part(im just self learnt know all mechanic) so i just replace it per recommendation. I think with the newer cars, im paying to replace parts earlier for peace of mind. The old system are lot easier to maintain eh and i don't wanna experience again cleaning the plugs on 400km journey in the middle of the night.

I hope one day when these chinese had full of faking they ended up faking their own products.
That would be dredge of the dredge.

there are parts that require time change schedule. example: tires expire in four or five years depending on climate, brake fluid, wiper blades needs changing every two years, even if some of these parts are hardly used, they deteriorate over time. just like airplanes, some parts belong to the TCTO (time change technical order). even if the aircraft never flew, some parts that expire must be replaced before it takes off the ground.

My car is in really bad shape!!! I've been using it since Monday and the idling is inconsistent. Before I took the car to casa for PMS, my car was running perfectly (1000 rpm no ac, 800 no ac) The engine was so quiet I would sometimes think the car is not running!

Now on cold start the rpm is almost at 1.8k! Then while running naglalaro from 800 to 600. It used to be a perfect 800. The car then vibrates because of this idling. I thought I would give it a few days for the engine to adjust but it is not getting any better! Tonight I decided to open the hood and noticed that there is still a sound coming from the top of the engine.

WHAT THE HELL could happen to a car that just turned 4 yrs old with 35k on the odometer with regular PMS using the stupid expensive fully synthetic oil from casa! CASA said the loud noise came from the defective spark plug. It did get rid of the loud noise but there is still an effing tak tak or tik tik noise that I cannot even distinguish.

I AM SO MAD I am afraid I will snap at the casa if I talk to them any further!!! I have lost days at work getting sick from the aggravation this has caused me! I don't know what to do if I should return the car to them! I told them not to return the car to me until everything is fixed. I don't mind that the car stays with them for a week as long as they fix their fck up! 1 araw pa lang nangangati ng ibalik sakin! I am losing time, money and my health because of what they did to my car! Pabalik balik ako sa casa and it does not help that the location is traffic hell!

Please help me. Should I still return the car to them AGAIN and insist that they fix it or should I take it to another auto shop. I have no idea where.

Casa said there is no sludge. They said they wanted to replace the valve cover gasket but there was none available, Ano naman connection nun sa tunog ng makina diba?!?!!? Should I ask them to go ahead and adjust the valve clearance? I am afraid baka lalo nilang wasakin yung auto ko, pagbayarin pa ko!

I am thinking if I should start researching on how to file a complaint with DTI. I would like to believe that they are trying their best to help. I don't wanna lose the goodwill I have established with them but this is a major fck up on their side. I don't know if they are really addressing the problem or they are just giving me lame excuses. How can a car that is running perfectly suddenly have engine noise after PMS.

Assuming they did not play around with any other components or sensors I would go ahead with the valve clearance adjustment. If this is the same as valve tappet clearance I had an experience before that when it was adjusted incorrectly the car idling became erratic. I had to get it redone properly with the engine left to cool down to room temp first. The valve cover gasket should have no effect at all, unless there is a tear where oil or air leaks out.

Seek for 2nd opinion first. Bring it to ARC automotive or speedyfix.

about the idling, maybe its just the maf sensor that needs cleaning. nataon lang after the weird sound.

yung sa sound naman, baka lang naging mas sensitive ka sa sound because of the experience?

Madaming pwedeng dahilan yan.

Personally i do casa only when its within warranty, after that outside casa na.

Trustworthy mechs are usually outside casa shops, kaya pa second opinion mo na.

^ an untrained technician can do something to screw up an engine even for less than a minute id careless...

In your case madam go for a second opinion na if nawalan ka na ng tiwala dyan. Malay mo makukuha lang yan sa tune up... Pero majority here can only speculate based sa description mo therefore mas maganda na patignan mo muna sa iba and compare the diagnosis and decide later
