Some are claiming na considered group 3 oil parin yan pureplus tech oil, since it's not PAO, but a very good one. Galing ng tech ng Shell diyan sa gas to liquid oil.

Same. Ang maganda pa, mas mura pa lalabas 95RON than 91RON after the per liter discount on gasoline. Kaya hindi ka na need magisip kung 91 or 95RON. hehe!

Sa Unioil West Avenue ako usually napupunta, price wise (SRP) mas mura siya compared sa F Blumentritt, Quezon Avenue and Mindanao Avenue na from my comparison pag nadaan ako. Kaya di ko na chinecheck yung 3 other locations na yun when I need to top up gasoline.

Diesel mas neglible na price difference. hehe!

Going back, yung sa DMAX lang, hindi lang si 10w-30 na ginagamit ng Isuzu for the 1.9L engine, 5w-40 but I think negligible difference na sa viscocity yun. Yung booklet kasi ng DMAX walang kwenta. Di nakasulat anung viscosity recommended or alternatives na pwede. But if high temp viscocity is higher (from 30 to 40) good for more "stressed" application daw sa research but may FC penalty/hit (tatakaw onti dahil mas lumapot) when running at the optimal temperature yung engine.

So, again not sure. Limited lang kasi meron sa Unioil West Avenue for Diesel but sinubukan ko na din kasi I don't see a problem with the change in oil viscocity.

Gas Engine Fully Synthetic Available was 5w-30. Pasok naman sa mga possible oil viscocity that can be used sa 2.0 Xtrail and, kita ko din, same oil viscocity pwede gamitin sa Sylphy (eventually - but no need to change now).

Forgot the other alternative Fully Synthetic Viscocity for Gasoline engine kung anu specs. May tarp sila dun sa West Avenue. Hehe!

re 97RON, once ko lang na try mag 97 sa Unioil Bataan. After everything, nung check ko FC reading digital vs full tank method, discrepancy was 89% lang yung actual FC vs the digital readout. Problem ko dun is highway mostly takbo ko nun kaya dapat closer to 95-97% ang actual vs digital based on past experience with 95RON. Nagcomplain pa ako sa DTI about the station kasi feel ko sa side ng pump yung discrepancy/inaccuracy ng volume (basically I was being charged more volume than what I actually needed/got in the tank after top up).

Pero sa tagal ng reply ng DTI back then, inabutan na sila ng nagcheck yung marikina and recalibrate yung pumps ng Unioil station sa marikina na kung san ako inabutan na need magpagas. So report back was accurate naman yung pumps nila. Hehe! Oh well.

Dito sa Sucat area, yung 95RON is 2 pesos more than 91RON on standard price. But with the S&R discount, they come out the same. I just use 95RON for my NA car. The turbo one uses 95RON all the time as I see no difference in performance using 97RON on my daily rides.

is there proof that using synthetic oil significantly adds years (and miles) to one's engine's life?
is synthetic oil extending your engine's life, or is it just extending your oil change interval?

You'll find walmart everywhere lol. Lowes and home depot are also common.

But hindi lang basta affordable eh ok na. Follow the proper viscosity. Nasubukan nyo ba gumamit ng SAE 40 sa sedan kumakadyot-kadyot nakakasira ng timing!!!! (ito mga casa at talyer eh mga gorilla!!!! nagooffer ng 20w50 at sae 40 sa gasoline engine.

10k to 15k kms sir sa trucks. Sa private 5k to 7k maximum.

My 3year old Hino tractor head nasa15-20k kms or 4-5 months oil change, I only use Yung cheapest petron oil hd40 nasa 110 pesos lang yata whole sale price, 34 liters oil every oil change, top up 1 liter every month, so far Wala pa problem engine, may kilala ako may volvo track 25k kms daw sila mag oci, Yung Hino casa requires 8-10k oil change dinako bumalik casa gusto nila monthly ako mag change oil haha

Tama yan bro. Yung Volvo pwede daw 20k to 25k, pero sa amin 15k lang kadalasan.

malayo depot ng Zic sa bundok lol.

after this box, I'll get Motorcraft API-SN Plus, I'll save 33% vs shell :D
