Matagal na ba naka 20w50 yan?

If you are planning to go ahead with 10w40 mag prepare ka na rin ng budget for valve cover oil seal replacement just in case may mag leak dyan after the switch.

40 is thinner than 50 so if you have observed that lesser oil stay in your engine with a relatively thick oil at 50, then expect it more if you replace your current oil with a thinner 40

Moving from thick to thin oil is always good for the engine and fuel economy but if your engine is leaking oil already then that makes it a bad idea

Is it absolutely necessary to engine flush if switching from mineral to FS?

for gas or diesel? most japanese cars only require api-sn/sm/sl

if you have the evo, they youll want to research on rotella oils..

There are semi-synthetic oils in 5w40 (Shell Helix HX7) and 10w40 (Valvoline, Shell) viscosities. For mineral oil, you can opt for 10w30 (Idemitsu) or 15w40 (Shell HX5).

20w50 is just too thick for small engines. Even with big 4-cylinders (2.0L or more), I would not even recommend it.

normally we say oci. oil change interval.

intervals depend on filter and oil. if you're using stock filters, follow oci as per reco in the manual aka whichever comes first time or distance.

Aside from delvac one you might also want to compare mobil turbo diesel truck (also fully synthetic) but beware of fakes.

yellow bottle is very good. api-sl has good additives for older engines.
