    1. wag na manghula, it's best to subject your car to mut (diagnostics) kapag "check engine" ang problem. mahirap ma-pinpoint exactly kung ano ang cause nito.

    2. go to the casa for mut.

There can be literally dozens of causes of "engine check" light. It can be simple loose gas cap.....

.....and yeah, only a shop with a computer can diagnose the light...

Aside from casa, what shop can diagnose such cars. My Toyota Echo keeps on having this "check engine" light after i replace the oil sending unit sensor(with a surplus one). This i located just above the alternator. Previously, i dont have this experience but after the guy who fixed my alternator accidentally broke the unit, to which he denies hitting it, i replaced it with a surplus from banawe. However, it works good, but the "check engine" light will appear sometimes a day or two . Then i remove the battery to reset it, then ok na naman. pabalik balik ng ganun after 1 or 2 days of use.

Is there a shop you could recommend to check it and how much does it cost me to have it diagnosed.

if you work in makati or can go to Waltermart North EDSA on weekends, I can help you. I have an OBD II scanner with me always in my car, have no shop, just a DIY mechanic :P

    PM me if you're interested

Thank you for the offer, i appreciate it. But i had it done already at Servitec beside Celica in Araneta. Bought the required part and its fixed.
