It should be fine, there are even carburated cars that have been in stock for the same time (even longer) that will run fine.

Just drain/empty your gas tank to rid it of the expired gas and put in some fresh gas. Remember to also check the fluid levels especially in the radiator. Engine Oil and oil filter change too.

In that case, try to check the all important brake lines too.

The gas expires in two years so puede pa yan. make sure the fuel pump is primed, or you can drain it tru the fuel the pump, leave the keys on 'ON',then
remove the fuel hose after the fuel pump and drain. If you cant do DIY ask for the services of a mechanic. kaso baka me iba pa na problema yan parang hindi normal na pabayaan na lang nang ganyan ang isang car.

Better prepare for a tune up, parang sobra naman pagtitipid ninyo ni hindi man lang ini start for one year.

replace all the fluids, tires etc... then I think it's better to look for a mechanic that can do home service...para sigurado na....

Yung timing belt pala kelangan usisaing mabuti as it may appear undamaged at the first glance.

if ayaw talaga magstart then the lynx is know to bust some sensors over time causing it to not start. baka nasira while it was in the garage. or baka may nangatngat ng daga sa garahe. better do a comprehensive check while you're at it.

Drain the gas, change oil and filter, check plugs. If it won't start check your fuel filter. The car not being used for 1 year means the all sediments in the fuel tank settled at the bottom already and when you try to start it will get sucked into the filter and clogging the fuel delivery to the engine.
