Increase performance! Honda Civic FC

Relative naman yung malakas sa gas.

My 1.8 FC averages 9.5km/l and natitipiran ako dun.

The FD might average lower than that, but still okay lang for me.

Kung concern mo nga ang fuel consumption, better get a subcompact na lang.

But one this is for sure, cross out the SIR. It's too old, time to move on hehe.

Gusto engine performance tapos gusto lang pala eh street rezzing rezzing. Tapos punta sa mall..

Exception should be those small turbocharged engines. Ehem Civic RS/SI, Focus, Elantra Sport etc.

But for his budget wala pa yatang ganun model na available as 2nd hand.

Not exactly true. My Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0L turbo is not as efficient as Honda’s 1.5L NA engine. It is more like 8 km/L on normal city driving routes, even worse with BGC or Makati CBD traffic.

A fellow car enthusiast drives a Focus 1.5L Ecoboost and he is getting 6-7 km/L. Good enough for an engine rated 180hp/240Nm but that FC is already midsize car or CUV range.

Hello all

Ask ko lang how will I increase the speed, power, etc whatever you call it of my Honda Civic FC 1.8? Ano ba mga basic upgrades for it? I did installed a HKS legal quad exhaust. What else? From basic to slight advance.

^^^ with the mods stated above, it would be better to spend for a more powerful car instead.

But even those who bought "faster" cars can't leave the cars alone

Dati when I was still into modding i'd see week old evos in the tuning shop ... brand new parts from Japan being installed

HKS, GReddy, Apexi, Blitz, Tein, Rays etc

It's crazy

Practically new stock turbos, intercoolers, whole exhaust systems removed and laying on the floor

The owners have barely driven their evos and they ordered 100s of thousands of pesos worth of aftermarket parts

Merong mga kotse na sulit i-tune. Merong mga hindi.

Pero Civic FC 1.8? Kahit gumastos ka 300k mods mas ok pa rin yung stock na RS. CVT of the 1.8 isn't the same as the RS. Kahit paddle shifters man lang, wala.

The Civic RS on the other hand is very tuneable. Even just an ECU remap will already give you good gains and 200+ whp is easy.

R20 also isn't very tuneable. Big difference in the tuning potential of the R20 and the K20.

L15A turbo of the RS is also very receptive to tuning. Even in stock form it's already as quick as an 86/BRZ, with more low end torque.

sorry po kung mejo makulit. hehe gusto ko lang maging clear po. hehe. im not interested in power po kasi. im just into looks nung car. so an FD stock engine is okay naman po sa gas? . never owned a car po kasi mag drive lang po alam ko but im looking to study automotive para may konting idea about sa car. hehe

For what it can offer, the Civic 1.8L models (FD, FB, FC) has acceptable fuel consumption. It is just like most cars with 1.6L engines.
