114,000 kms na patrol ko, and i never used engine flush or oil additives, running like new pa rin naman engine ko. just regular oil change every 5K kms. every 10K kms sa casa ako, tapos yung 5K kms in between sa labas.

Engine flush and additives are utterly useless.

OT Sir, magkano nagagastos niyo pag every 10K pms sa casa, I over heard the SA advising a fellow client around P9K+- for the 10K PMS of his Patrol sa Nissan U.N.

kaya lang tayo nagpapa-PMS sa casa eh para hindi ma-void warranty..

kung lagpas na sa 3years or 100Tkm eh pede na hindi casa ang PMS..

kahit na hindi pa tapos ang warranty basta yung first 1000km and 5000km sa casa. yung mga succeeding pm pwede na sa gas station. just make sure na the gas station records the services they did in the pm schedule book (SIGNED AND STAMPED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER/MECHANIC) and also they note down, in the receipt and service records what were done. pag walang printout ng service record yung gas station then iwas ka dun. ask first bago mo pa-service car mo.

ako sa shell sa congressional i always get a printout before (di na ngayon kasi tapos na warranty). mas maganda pa nga dun at nakakapag-miron ako sa mekaniko. sa casa di ka pwede pumasok sa service area nila.

    WBR,
sa ZD30 engine ng patrol, meron warning dun sa tabi ng engine oil filler not to use synthetic oils, use only mineral oils.

sa 4JX1 engine ng trooper naman, dapat synthetic oil lang ang ilagay

Follow your car's manual. That would guide you on what oil to use.

I never use additives. Waste of money. A good engine oil brand have those additives mixed in it already.

Engine flush? It would be fine if your car is under 5 years old. But I wouldn't recommend it for older cars. Baka magka-leak lang kasi matatanggal ung mga dumi sa loob na maaari ding nagsisilbing "plug" sa mga worn gaskets etc...
