January 15th, 2010 10:58 AM #1May Honda VTEC '96 ako and naencounter ko ung Check Engine Light problem last 4 days ago. Pag nakapark and started the engine for almost 15minutes hindi umiilaw pero kapag naidrive ko na within 10minutes umiilaw na ung Check Engine Light. Kapag naioff na engine and nakapagrest for few minutes and start ulit, wala na naman ung Check Engine Light.
Same says na knock sensor papalitan.
Rosa, Laguna who has this scanner or can repair this problem. Sana ung mura lang maningil. Pag sa Honda, they will be charging 1k para lang sa pag analyze, wala pa dun ung parts to be replaced at repair cost.

AFAIK it's worth it kase mapi-pinpoint mo source ng problema.

its worth it having it diagnosed sa casa ( diagnostics lang talaga no repairs or replacement ) ... been there before dude

Nagjumper lang siya sa ECU and tinignan ung number of blinks. Tried and counted for how many times and un nakuha nya agad sira. Nag test drive kami and totally nawala ung Check Engine Light. Nagbigay pa siya advice for other cleaning na dapat gagawin sa car para mapaganda pa lalo performance. Magaling gumawa kaya for other concern sa car ko dun ko na dadalhin sa. Nagastos ko lang is 1k para sa diagnose and repair.
Kung sino man magkaproblema ng same ng sa akin, pwede nyo ako PM para maituro ko kung saan location ng Auto Repair Shop.

try checking all posible variables why does "check engine" lights up. oil, air filter and minor parts that could be on malfunction. if andun pa din, try resetting your ecu then, remove the terminals from your battery atleast 10mins.(negative first(the blue one)) then if andun pa din, padiagnose mu na sa casa, malamang faulty sensor/s lang yan. they could replace it in a jiffy.
