transforming your otherwise original car into a frankenstein is a maze of experimentation, frustration and headaches. it is very unwise to do this unless you have the time, money, know how and your own garage to do the transformation. mechanic A says this, mechanic B says this, mechanic C says this and so on. there's too much hunches, guesses and possibilities. diagnosis is needed and not the trial and error or, error and error approach. have your diagnoses translated into numbers:
compression: dry-first puff and four puffs , wet- first puff and four puffs, all in psi or kgm/cm2 or in bars of pressure
cylinder leakage test: how many percent leak each cylinder
simple and can be done right at your parking spot, oil level and type of oil
check your oil filler cap for evidence of sludging and check your pcv valve for free movement and spring function. that way, if you digitize your results, it is objective and not subjective evaluation.
