hi guys ... i finally decided to make an account here after taking 2 days to read all 66 pages. i really wish i could introduce myself properly, but tbh, i really know nothing about cars ... its just i need to "study" this GTO crap.
well, for starters, i am pretty much convinced that GTO is bull - from the very start. i have been a member of an MLM, and i am very well-versed with their style of selling things (GTO follows the exact same format). however, after reading this thread, i pretty much can say GTO is bull, with data from these forums to back it up.
here's the thing, i was "forced" into having the bullshhh-liquid into my Honda Civic's engine ... they even did superficial demos/magic tricks, and i was somehow peer-pressured convinced (yes i know - old as time MLM trick... power selling crap). anyway here are some observations:
-it made my engine more quiet (could be a placebo, since my car was never noisy at all, and i do notice that road surfaces tend to influence my perception of "engine sounds" differently)
-it made me think that i saved fuel (more or less a placebo since i was driving on a different road for the first time)
-it also increased the resting rpm of my car (to which the demo-er disconnected and reconnected my batteries so it would "adjust" to the new RPM rating, i know nothing about cars or engines, but i do know what the guy did was bullssshhh, BUT i do not know what its effect on my car will be).
-finally (you will love this), two of my display leds aren't working (i did read about the "power loss" thing a few pages back).
so, what should i do? ... i really do not want to change oil because when the demo-ers checked (and i saw) was that my oil was pretty much good (i even heard one of them comment, "wow, bago pa ah")... or, can you say that its ok for me to let the GTO "ride out?"
and finally, what am i going to do with those none working display leds? could it possibly be just some bad battery connection?
thanks guys... and i really am sorry that i had to introduce myself on a "hot" thread. if theres any good that came out of my GTO experience, is that it made me a little bit interested with cars and how stuff works - who knows, i actually might become a real part of the community
