signs/symptoms of a loose compresion on diesel engine

fellow tsikoteers and gurus.

what are the signs/symptoms na may loose compresion na ang cylinder mo?

diesel yung suv namin (4jx1 trooper crdi)

namamatayan kasi ako minsan kapag nag babacking kahit na AT naman ang tranny ko.

i also expiriencing sobrang black smoke kahit 1 month ago palang ako nag pa PMS ng Royal purple na im using for about 6 months narin.

black smoke lumalabas kahit bagong linis air filter ko. (K&N filter konting oil lang naman nakalagay and 1 year ko ng gamit 4 times na ako nag lilinis)

i do also expirience some vibration during idle.

san pwede mag pa compression test? yung reliable and may alam na shop and may expirience na on 4jx1 engine.

mileage of the trooper is 80K

Hard starting is a good sign.
Wierd idle is another.
Pumping oil. Can be checked via oil consuption.

Isuzu ang may capability for diagnosing but a person with tech2 and knowsw to interpret codes and reading can help.

May MIL ka ba?

starting is the same walang pinagbago/

oil consumption? so far hindi naman nagbabawas.

what is a MIL anyway?

and can too much oil cause this?

parang nadamihan kasi ng kaunti yung nalagay na oil pero hindi naman lagpas dun sa level sa dip stick. mataas lang ng kaunti pero nasa range naman.


and yes, weird idle nafifeel ko minsan. parang action mag stall yung engine (biglaan mo mafeel) then biglang ok na. pag nag babacking lang talaga ako namamatayan. thank god once palang nangyari.

Be extra careful when checking the oil level watch its viscocity and smell.
4JXI has a dangerous habit of spilling diesel fuel to the oil chambers via the o ring of the injectors once its failing.

nope wala naman.

nabawasan din ang hatak nya.

tootsie, pag sobrang oil ba nalagay mga 500ml can cause this?

sj, if the oil level is with the high and low of the dipstick it should be ok. lumagpas ba?

nope migs.

its within the range naman. almost the same naman sa previous level before ako nagpa PMS.

and same amount din naman yung quantity ng oil na nilagay nyo. 7 and 1/4 to 1/2 liter naman, hindi umabot ng 8 litres.

palagay ko it has nothing to do with the recent PMS kasi mga a week or 2 pa after ako nagpa PMS lumabas ang sakit na to.
