ano yung pros and cons ng pag install ng full exhaust system?

naka intake nako (simota) and free flow muffler (JASMA spec) and i'm planning to install 4-2-1 headers for the low-end to mid range power band and larger diameter pipes (2.25") to complete the setup. what are your insights?

    TIA

since muffler shops dont use stainless steel for their exhaust systems... rust would be one of your headaches a year or so later.

....maingay talaga yan kung naka-straight pipe ka sa ilalim. isn't 2.25 too big? ok ka na siguro sa 2".

wouldn't 2.25" be just right for a 2.0L car? di ba pwede i-rust proof yung pipes para di mangalawang?

...meron yung aluminized piping sa CPM. i guess that's better than the commonly used black iron.

FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM ... CONS - IINGAY ITO ( THROATYSOUND ) , A NO NO FOR THE KIND OF PEOPLE NA AYAW SA MAINGAY NA KOTSE , DADAMI ANG FUEL CONSUMPTION FROM STOCK FORM , CHANCES OF POLLUTING AIR IF DAILY DRIVEN UNLESS ITS THE CATBACK BUT LIKE US AID ITS THE FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM

PROS - POWER ! , TAKE NOTE NA DI MO RIN MAKUHA ANG MAX POTENTIAL UNLESS ANG AFTERMARKET EXHAUST AY DI COORDINATED SA COLLECTOR MO ( HEADERS ) , KAILANGAN DIN NG AFTERMARKET HEADERS PARA MORE AIR FLOW , LOOKS AT THROATY / SPORTY SOUND . 2.25 ' FOR A 2.0 MOTOR IS OK ..UP TO 2.75 PWEDE , 3 " PIPES ARE ADVISABLE NA FOR FORED INDUCED MOTORS SO STICK TO 2 1/2 PIPES .

any idea kung magkano aabutin sa CPM kung magpapaheaders and piping ako? alam ko may packaged deal sila eh.

my setup is a 4-2-1 headers, 2.25in piping, upgraded catalytic converter, medium sized resonator and stock muffler. My car is a AE111 corolla with 1.6 liter engine.

Idling sound is only slightly louder, not the droning sound that is usually heard from freeflow mufflers. Floor the gas and the car sounds like it has an angry lion under the hood waiting to eat you up.

ung sakin nka cone type filter, 4-2-1 headers, freeflow muffler. di naman masyadong maingay pag nka idle. barely noticeable ang difference from stock. throaty lang ung sound sa start up. pag reving na, say 3000rpm up, yan talagang vroom vroom ung sound. ung fuel economy naman, di ko din pansin ung difference from stock. nka 15km/l pa nga ako from manila to daet e. talagang driving style ang mag dictate ng fuel economy more than anything else.

    ssaloon...

there's this shop that makes stainless steel pipes...

its OEM roosevelt... the workmanship is good and they use cold weld technology...

mine is a 2.2L engine with 2.25 straight exhaust , HKS Hiper muffler, K&N cone type filter and a 4-2-1 headers. Naging mas matakaw nga consumption ng gas ko, and umingay nga, lalo na pag bagong start. Pero afterwards pag mainit na makina, tahimik naman pag idling. Pero the power, lumakas yung kotse, acceleration and all, pati hatak.

in my experience pag di ka naka turbo set up, dont change pipe ne. no use lang yun. loss power pa labas nun. malakas talaga sa gas yun. pansin ko pag rev ko bilis bumaba ng gas talaga. well its ur choice. dont remove the ctsock resonator para di maingay.

SSALOON , MISUNDERSTANDING LANG PALA , AKALA KO KASI AY NI REFER MO YUN SAPAGKAT NI REFER MO RIN ANG SIMOTA AS UR INTAKE W/C IS ACTUALLY A BRAND NAME OF INTAKES . ANYWAYS , IF CUSTOM BUILT O FABRICATED PALA ANG FULL EXHAUST MO AY DONT FORGET TO TELL THE WELDER TO DO MANDREL BENT SA PIPES FOR MORE FREE FLOW AND BETTER EXIT NG GASSES .

KAHIT NA DI STAINLESS ANG PIPINGS MO AY DI NAMAN ITO KAKALAWANGIN AGAD , MAYBE AABOT PA ITO NG 3- 5 YEARS BAGO MAG DETERIORATE , SAME THING SA MGA STOCK EXHAUST FROM THE MANUFACTURERS NA DI SIYA STAINLESS , IF MURA LANG ANG STAINLESS STEEL MATERIAL , GO FOR IT , PERO REMEMBER , LIGHTER IS BETTER IF POWER HANAP MO , TNX .

ssaloon, i'll try to post it tom... kalkalin ko pa mga resibo..

i also suggest that you don't replace your pipings if that is your daily driver...

if you decide to get a larger diameter one, you'll experience some torque loss at low rpms, while you'll gain some hp at mid-high rpms...

pero oks lang magpakabit ng headers na 4-2-1? bad trip kasi, walang mandrel bent pipes dito satin. ang alam ko lang na gumagawa ng custom pipes ay si crazy ernie eh... pero for sure mahal yun!
