basta fit sya ok lang. i like using the largest one i can make to fit into the space so on most hondas i use 307.
Hi All!![]()
I read somewhere that VIC filters had very poor filtration.
Any truth to this?
Thanks.
:regards:
we're using VIC filters sa landcruiser FJ60 and bighorn namin for many years. every 5000kms yung oil change and so far, wala naman naging problema.
+1 dito. This is how I checked the correct ViC oil filter for the Vitara. The former owner forced-fit a Lancer oil filter kasi.
It is also indicated on the ViC filter box what OEM part numbers it is supposed to substitute. So if you know your filter's part number, just look for it on the box.
Sa isang Shell dito sa amin, a Nissan Patrol with a 4.2 diesel engine was fitted with the teensy-weensy oil filters intended for a Kia Pride! Wala yata yung tamang filter and nagkataon nag-match ang thread nung pang Kia. Baka hindi pa nakakalayo yun, barado na filter. hehe. Ang laki ng oil capacity ng Patrol.

Need an Ambulance? We sell Zic Brand Oils and Lubricants. Please PM me.
hindi basta nag-fit ung thread nila matach na. kung ano ung design intention and its application, un ang dapat gamitin..
nah you won't loose oil pressure with a big filter as long as you compensate for the extra capacity by adding a little more oil. on my other car i have a pretty big aftermarket oil cooler and oil filter relocator kit on it which adds about 1 liter of oil capacity and i have no oil pressure drop.
may nabasa ko na poster sa isang store sa banaue on how to determine genuine from fake filters:
1. electronically printed japanese prod'n code
2. printed "Eiken Industries" on the side of the filters
I don't know if nagaya na yan ng mga mandaraya sa mga fake filters nila..
Anybody know pa how to effectively determine genuine from fake ones?
best way would be to get from people who get directly from VIC dealers.
we sell orig vic filters and 555...although mayt mga fake din talaga niyan.
up lang po.. yan din po gusto ko malaman eh.. how to differentiate orig from fake na vic products.. thanks
Check this site with a test of oil filters. Not saying they are bad because it could already be improved or the particular filter model was bad.

sorry guys for reviving a 5 yr. old thread. My car has a b16 engine, and i just saw a Vic c-805 filter at Ace hardware the other day, my question is will this fit on my engine. It is waay bigger than the 806 and a little bit taller than the 307. I would like to use larger than OEM size filters because im now using synthetic oils with 10thousand km. drain intervals, im too lazy to change my filter every 5k so im just thinking switching to a larger filter to compensate.
