    Guys, i need your expert advice ulit... naging normal na yung idle ko for 2 months, pero ngayon bumababa nanaman sya minsan sa gitna ng byahe pag naka stop or hindi naka-apak sa silinyador.. twice or thrice namatay din engine ko.. a few days ago lang nagsimula eh.. ano kaya problem?? kakapalinis ko lang ng TB, MAF, IACV AAC, etc. 2 months ago eh..

    kelangan na ba palitan talaga yung MAF? nung nagtanong ako sa shell service sabi baka daw nagloloko na servo ko pag mainit na.. true kaya?? pag sinabing servo ba eh yung MAF yun??

    kakapalit ko lang din ng TPS..really need your advice mga sir kung talagang palitan ko na yung MAF ko.. thanks in advance!!

    kabitan mo na yan ng OBD para malaman kung may problema mga sensors... meron ba check engine light?

    looks like you are trying to strike the pinata blindfolded hoping you hit it. check the basics first. check your fuel system: fuel pressure, fuel volume per unit time, check your ignition, check your power feed to your pcm. if you are trying to figure out a ghost problem, check the obvious to eliminate possibilities. the most common mistake is to "blame the computer first or its related components". try not to go into the more technical side until you have done the routine maintenance items.

    there are many possible causes of erratic idling and some of those are vacuum leak, wrong timing, faulty fuel intake, electrical or grounding problem, etc...

    as what jick suggested, eliminate all the basics first. dont conlude that yours is a MAF sensor problem right away..

    hehehehe not enough evidence to incriminate the MAF. case thrown out

    I had the same problem with my lynx. Hindi stable ang rpm pag idle. Pag na switch na AC, minsan namamatay yung makina. Pinacheck ko maf okey naman. Pinalinis ko na rin tb. Nilinis yung intake air control valve pero sira na daw ito at need na palitan. But as others have suggested, marami ding cause ang erratic idling. Hth..

    did you replace your IACV?? if so, naayos ba?? TY..

    I decided to sell it sir.. Nagpaquote kasi ako dati ng replacement sa casa and it costs about 15k. But based dun sa assessment ng mechanic, iacv yung sira kasi nacheck na lahat ng iba pang parts (i.e. fuel line, filters, maf, etc). It might be cheaper pag sa banawe bibili nito. In the meantime, try to consider this as one of the prime culprit pero yun nga sir marami kasi ang possible cause ng erratic idling. Pa assess mo lang mabuti kasi magkaiba yung oto natin. Baka nga servo (ito ata yung equivalent ng iacv)..

    of all sensors the hardest to diagnose is the maf sensor unless of course you have thorough knowledge with volumetric afficiency and fuel trims, or kung may data ka sa reading ng good and bad maf. kaya hindi basta basta mag condemn ng maf at napakamahal ang presyo nito.
