    oj88 is right. Older cars can use Euro 4 fuels without any hassle but it doesn't work the other way around. Meaning, newer car models can't use older fuel types. They need the additives present in the Euro 4 fuels to keep them going due to their sophisticated state of the art parts.

    Yes, it is.

    The additional product cost between regular diesel and premium diesel is nowhere close to 5 pesos.

    probably more issue on diesel than gasoline specially with the newer model and smaller engines. old and bigger engines generally won't be hurt much switching types.

    Applicable lang sa "new car" registration. After Dec 31, 2017, hindi mo na mapapa-rehistro ang bagong sasakyan na hindi at least Euro 4.

    Sa mga existing na sasakyan na hindi na-meet ang Euro 4 standard, pwede pa rin ipa-renew ang registration hanggang wala pang phase-out plan na galing sa gobyerno.

    ...new vehicles which haven’t been registered and do not meet Euro 4 emissions standards cannot be registered any more.
    This ruling has no effect on vehicles already purchased and are already registered with the LTO.
