At 100K (plus labor and misc stuff), I would rather buy a B14 unit with a SR20VE engine already installed and running well.
Check the Sentra forums for current owners selling their modified rides. Some are actually cheaper than doing the swap yourself.

You can also check the forums (this and others) for people who are looking for B14 sentra chassis. I have come across an ad of a guy looking for a sentra without a working engine. It's possible he has a project engine that is looking for a home.
But if you decide too keep your car, getting a SR20DE is the best way to go that will give you more power and still be "affordable". BTW, even with a more "modest" SR20DE upgrade, the stock brakes of the Sentra will have problems stopping it. Best to plan for upgrading that as well.
