March 21st, 2015 08:01 AM #25ako kakatapos ko lang magpatop overhaul (honda ek 96).
machine shop 5.5k, reface, palit valve guide (750 diamond brand) palot valve seal (OEM, 180 each x 16), palit thermostat housing back part (OEM 1500), cylinder head gasket (OEM 2700), vtec solenoid gasket (OEM 350), intake manifold gasket (OEM 350), palit ng mga hoses (ung 2 sa IACV, OEM mga 800 pesos na ang pair), langis (delo gold ultra 1,150), oil filter (vic - panget to wala lang choice, 250) spark plug (240, ngk bkr6e-11) top over haul labor 3500.
nagpageneral tune up ako kay mel casaba before overhaul it cost me more or less 1000 dahil.may added work, di ko maalala nreak down, pero kung tune up lang mababa pa sa 1k, kasama na tappet adjustment.
by the way, may tiktikrik din ako at ang cause is maluwag na valve guide ko.

Sir,based on my experience.nagbara ang oil strainer nyan kya umilaw ang oil warning indicator light.
I did this operation many times. Drain the oil as much as you can, reinstall the drain plug, through the dipstick tube pour a solution of gasoline and degreaser(kleenol, simple green or any readily available liquid degreaser) and let soak for about four hours. Do not crank the engine. Drain the oil pan of the solution. The gasoline dissolves the softer sludge while the degreaser dissolves the caked on gum and varnish
