The oil is almost a thousand km old and its getting darker but just like when a filter with bpv was in use. I can safely say now that bpv does not easily engage and matter much with oil filters like Baldwin, its really the process of combustion and poor filtration that contaminate the oil, thus the dark color. We really have to weigh the benefits of using high flow air filters, like a K&N, versus the oem paper filters.
In my case, with stock engine for daily use, nothing much gained in FC and performance, maganda lang sound at looks sa engine bay. I'm planning to revert now to oem air filter for cleaner motor oil and more engine wear protection.
