If you use Specific Grade for your engine very minimal ang difference when it come to wear rate, friction, etc. base sa Research and Testing(like ASTM) kahit anong Brand as long as passed the API STANDARD like Labelling of engine oils by adopting the so-called DOUGHNUT LOGO. It tells a vehicle owner the oil's viscosity grade, service classification and energy conserving capabilities. Beware of unscrupulous oil blenders pwedeng mangyari diyan sa atin.

ako regular mineral oil lang gamit ko. basta change oil every 4-4.5k km.

I agree with theveed - a good engine oil must be able to clean the engine and will turn dark faster than an inferior one. The better indicator would be it's viscosity, a good engine oil should be able to keep it's rated viscosity longer - hindi yung lumalapot agad. Sa 'kin either Mobil 1 or Motul fully synthetic works best. Mas smooth yung engine and seems I get better mileage hehe. Some claim that you can extend oil change interval up to 10K kms if you use fully synth, but I prefer to go for the compromise 7.5K kms.

Be wary on the warranty tho as some car manufacturers will void it if not serviced by the casa.

yung 323 right now Castrol Magnatec (from Caltex Havoline Energy)... will switch to Motul Fully Synthetic soon.

i was tempted to use fully synthetic engine oil, pero di kasi everyday car yung paggagamitan kaya sayang din because it's 10k km or 3 months which ever comes first. errr... does this hold true even for fully synthetic oil?

basta every 10K km ang palit dapat... kung laging city driving ka... palit ng oil filter every 5K km.

I'm using Valvoline All Turbo-fleet for my pick-up(diesel) and I also used Valvoline for car(gasoline).

For me mas maganda pag medyo maitim kasi for sure nililinis nya talaga.

Havoline Energy Synthetic...palit pa rin ako every 5tkm or every 3 mos whichever comes first...pati pala spark plugs except for my mz3...

ILD: Mineral lang tong ginamit ko, I think it was 140/li... Yung full synth nasa 1800 ata isang gallon.

Sulit yung promo ni Migs if you factor labor at filter.

regular multigrade oil Petron Touring 150+ asa kpa! every 3k Kilometers.. pwde na din 1.5k. hahah
