Yes this is possible. And the condition worsens as as you further deviate from engine manufacturer's specs. Engine may not even start if timing advance is so far out.

Like I mentioned on my previous posts, it is possible to advance by 1 degree; it is also possible to advance by 5, 10 , 15 degrees, or even more.
