    sir dieseldude, is there an abnormal smoke emission or starting problem in case if an injection pump is advance in timing?

    Yes this is possible. And the condition worsens as as you further deviate from engine manufacturer's specs. Engine may not even start if timing advance is so far out.

    Like I mentioned on my previous posts, it is possible to advance by 1 degree; it is also possible to advance by 5, 10 , 15 degrees, or even more.
