August 13th, 2015 06:00 AM #1tanong naman po. napansin ko lang pag coldstart, mag auto rev sya ng mga 1.5rpm. pag nagmamadali ako at kailangan na umalis at nag revolution na ako, me engine knock.
pero pag hinayaan ko mag warm up to 5mins bago ako umalis, wala knocking.
pa help naman po

Mga ilang katanungan lang po:
1. Kailan po kayo huling nagpapalit ng spark plugs?
2. Nagpatanggal po ba kayo ng thermostat valve?
3. Hinde po ba kayo nagpalit ng type ng fuel na ginagamit ninyo?
4. Lagi po nyo ba o madalas po ba yun mga sitwasyon na nagmamadali kayo pero noon wala at ngayon lang po ba nagkaroon ng knocking sound?
*Minsan po pag nagmamadali kayo at wala pa sa operating temp ang engine eh naka auto choke pa po kaya masyadong rich o mataas pa ang timpla ng fuel kumpara sa air kaya nagkakaroon ng knocking.

4. Lagi po nyo ba o madalas po ba yun mga sitwasyon na nagmamadali kayo pero noon wala at ngayon lang po ba nagkaroon ng knocking sound? lagi ako mga 1-2 mins na warm up then andar na pero slowly lng kasi pababa naman yong road mula sa bahay

What I meant is yun pag enrich ng fuel kompara sa air kaya during cold start at ginamit agad eh parang na tope.

piston slap yung knocking sound na nadidinig mo. normal kung malamig pa engine, kapag normal operating temperature na, nawawala na yung knocking sound, tama po ba?

I believe it's the other way around. Engine knock due to pre-detonation is more likely to occur if the AFR is too lean.
TS:
Is it really a hard knock or more like a tick?
My take on this is that the oil, which hasn't reached operating temp yet, is still inefficient at doing its job immediately after a cold start. The noise should eventually dissipate as the engine warms up. If not, then you have a problem.

Sabagay dapat nabanggit ni TS na kumakadyot kadyot kung parang nasasakal o nalulunod ang makina.
If nag papalit ng spark plugs every 10k, i'm assuming na regular din ang oil change? Then if dati na nya ginagawa (yun pag rev at nagmamadali) at ngayon lang nangyare, assuming na same oil, hmm ano kaya....

If it happens when the engine is cold, try to check your spark plug specs. Maybe the plug heat range is too cold so you can change to a "hotter"plug. The heat range is usually the number, for example with an NGK BKR6E-11, "6" is the heat range and 11 is the plug gap (1.1). The higher the number the colder the plug so thus a NGK BKR5E-11 is a hotter plug.
Also, if you engine rarely revs high then you also probably have carbon build up which can also cause some detonation.
Try cleaning the MAF sensor too.
